Christian Braun<\/strong>, Gynecology<\/p><h4>SleepAid\u00a0: Optimizing recovery after surgery with enhanced sleep<\/h4><p>Duration : 24 months. Funding : CHF 5\u2019000<\/p><p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p><p>The goal of this project is to investigate the influence of sleep on postoperative recovery.<\/p><p>The study is divided into two phases.<\/p><p>The first phase is an observational phase, involving the analysis of the current perioperative sleep situation in 30 patients, to identify factors that disrupt sleep quality using wearable vital sign monitoring devices (VSMDs) and sleep questionnaires.<\/p><p>The second phase is a randomized controlled trial to develop and test an intervention package aimed at improving sleep quality and postoperative recovery using VSMDs.<\/p><p>The intervention will be tested against a control group without intervention.
