Where Clinical Research Changes Patient Lives
Gia Thư Lý und Michael Buettcher haben am Luzerner Kantonsspital ein Projekt zu «Patient and Public Involvement» gestartet – unterstützt von der Stiftung Klinische Forschung LUKS. Ziel ist es, eine patientenzentrierte Denk- und Arbeitsweise in der Forschung der Zentralschweiz nachhaltig zu verankern, auch auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene.
Foundation Board approves funding for two innovative projects
Wir haben die Förderung von 2 hoch-innovativen Projekten unserer Forschenden am Luzerner Kantonsspital bewilligt. Die Forschungsprojekte «KI-unterstützte Analyse von Impflücken bei Kindern» sowie «Public Patient Involvement in der ForschungWe have approved funding for two highly innovative projects by our researchers at Lucerne Cantonal Hospital. The research projects “AI-supported analysis of vaccination gaps in children” and “Public patient involvement in research” can now be carried out thanks to donations from our patrons. The LUKS Clinical Research Foundation promotes an "academic biotope" where research, teaching, and practice are closely linked to develop innovations and transfer them directly to patient care.
Vier junge Assistenzärztinnen und -ärzte erhielten Grants für geschützte Forschungszeit, fünf innovative Projekte wurden finanziert – darunter die Digitalisierung des Impfausweises und der Einbezug von Patient:innen in die Forschung. Praxisnahe Forschung aus der Zentralschweiz wirkt.

Forschungserfolg: Fabian Pretz publiziert im JSES
Dr. med. Fabian Pretz hat dank eines Forschungs-Grants der Stiftung eine biomechanische Studie am AO Research Institute Davos abgeschlossen und im renommierten Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (JSES) publiziert. Die Arbeit ist Teil seines PhD-Studiums an der Universität Luzern – ein Beispiel dafür, wie gezielte Förderung klinische Forschung und akademische Karrieren ermöglicht.
Cooperation agreement
The LUKS Research Foundation and the Institute for Medical Engineering signed a cooperation agreement on October 15, 2020. This partnership aims to advance research in medical device development through shared resources and expertise.

Innovation Hub Central Switzerland
The new center uses the state-of-the-art LUKiS clinical information system to conduct innovative research aimed at improving treatment processes and quality of care. By promoting interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration, it significantly contributes to strengthening Central Switzerland as an innovation hub.
